Who is the founder?
Simona Wahlsten is a motivated 37-year-ord mother of two with heaps of drive and enthusiasm who, having graduated high-school in economics and then having spent several successful years pursuing a sales career, decided that there was more she wanted to achieve in life. So, she swopped tracks and studied for a Bachelor of Arts in Education (BA/ED) in Swedish and English at Dalarna University. Whilst there, she took on the chair of the Social Commitee, was a member of the board of the Students' Union and also received the Rotary Schoolarship for one year.
She considers that the two professions - teacher and salesperson - are not so very unlike one another as you might think, and says that in both cases it´s about "being able to sell yourself and your message as quickly and as effectively as possible, so that you don´t lose the interest of your pupil or your customer, whilst at the same time having your goal and objective fixed on what you want to achieve". And in many ways, the job of language consultant is very much in line with that.
During those study years, Simona began working part-time as an adult educator and has later on also been hired as subject consultant by a private school. She has worked with language development as a qualified lecturer for ten years, and started her own business as a language consultant whilst taking maternity leave during 2009.
